COVID-19 Volunteer Updates
Due to the ongoing COVID-19 situation, Born Free Pet Shelter will not be taking on new volunteers until further notice. This is an unfortunate situation as volunteers are a key part of our organization, but this is necessary due to the restrictions that are in place. We will update this page when we are accepting new volunteers again. Thank you for your understanding on this matter.
Born Free Pet Shelter, Inc. Needs Volunteers!
- Dog care. Socialize, exercise and play with the dogs on Saturdays and help us clean their pens.
- Occasional transportation. Whether it is to help us transport dogs to the vet, groomer or another State for adoption, we are always in need of extra help.
- Fundraising and Events. Help us assisting and planning events to collect resources for our shelter and the dogs.
Our volunteer needs may vary and are not limited. We are also looking for dog trainers, bathers, groomers, marketing and social media experts, photographers or videographers, data entry, and adoption counselors. We are also open and happy to hear new ideas on how can you help the shelter.
Volunteers are the life blood of our organization. Whether you are willing to work with our animals after school or have a particular set of skills that can advance our shelter’s mission, we need you! For more information about volunteering, please contact us! and fill out this volunteer form prior to your visit to the shelter. Volunteers must be 21 years old or older.
Retired and semi-retired volunteers are welcome! For more information please contact us!
